Well finally got to fish ! went below the falls , top of the park and nada , saw a few being caught
While at top of park , a guy said the fish trucked dumped at the boat launch , buy the time my Son and I got back to the ramp , it looked like 20+ guys lined up at a urnial in the old Seahawk Mensroom !! fishing at it,s best ! . Went back to below the Falls , still nothing , saw 2 more fish get landed one in boat , one from oppsite shore , Will try again next week

Combat fishing ain't no fun at all. And I wonder how many of those truck chasers actually catch fish that are in shock? Probably not enough to even make it worthwhile.

Not true those fish absolutely will bite 20 minutes after being dumped. Its not realy a snag fest at all fishing from the waterloo boat ramp above the falls. I remember days of getting off work and running down there banging to summers and calling it a day. Dont believe everything you hear.

I still prefer to fish relatively undisturbed...and not in an elbow to elbow war zone. But, it is interesting to know that they will bite after a bumpy joyride and an Apollo splashdown.

I am going to try to get up there tomorrow.....have no idea what I am doing so will just wing it.........I have never got a salmon in Oregon as most know so I am determined. Any hints would be great. Can't wait to get my first....ray:

Just a little edit here to clarify...I been corrected....again....I was just stating I want a salmon but still want to fish the south fork as I havent yet.....and why am I explaining myself? Beats the hell out of me....

It really is pretty much a "glamorous" snag fest. But they do bite and do FIGHT... very few of them just sit there and do nothing. Give it a few hours and they are heading down the falls. Fishing can be hot there with spinners.
