Yep it was a slow season even out on the ocean. These things run o cycles for sure. 1993 the ocean was closed to salmon. It was such a bad year that folks turned to walleye fishing, or went to the Cascade lakes for trout. By 2009 there was a 110,000 central coast coho quota with a three fish a day limit. In 2014-2015 was lights out for chinook and coho. Then the down turn and now we are at the bottom of the cycle.
I got a kick out of the Sandy drift video. I have made that drift many times and when the wind comes along it really does mess the fishing up.
