Fished a little in the morning on the lower, but was running a little high with debris so decided to hit the upper. I prefer that section because I like to swing and I love the natives up there since I C&R almost all my fish besides a few steelhead a year when I don't have a few in the freezer at the time. With the river level up its fishing a lot better than it did 2-3 weeks ago because the spots I usual go when it was low just didn't flow the same and was tough being pretty gin clear. The water is moving so you'll need to get your presentation down pretty quick. I stayed with my sink 3 tip since I was working the softer seams anyway. Couple nice takers today and have beautiful full color in them. Think sculpin patterns with the current water color. Size 8 was good today, bigger didn't seem to get as much attention.

Same here, already planning a scout and swing trip in a few days. Have to make reports over chasing them, especially coastal winter steel
