I am taking my family camping up at Trail Bridge reservoir, I have never been there and was wondering if any of you have fished up there. I have been reading this forum for about a month now, and finally decided to join. There is tons of good info on here and I love fishin, so i figured I would fit in!!:D

Welcome to the forum. You are right, you will fit right in and we're glad to have you. I have never been to Trailbridge so I looked it up on Boat Escape - Ultimate Oregon Boating, Camping & Fishing Resource | to see what it OFFers. There are bull, cutthroat and rainbow trout. The website says the bulls and cuts are seldom seen but the bows are common. You shouldn't have any trouble catching dinner, hopefully. Be sure to let us know how you do. The suspense drives us nuts. Take your sunblock and pfd's,it's going to be a warm weekend.
Be safe.

I love Trailbridge. One of my favorite campgrounds. The reservoir is flies and lures only to protect the bull trout. It was stocked last week. I like to fish it from the dam side with woolie buggers if fly fishing and with small dark rooster tails if spin fishing. You can also catch fish on the camp ground side. My bro was there on saturday for 5 hours on his float tube flyfishing. He c & r 30 fish. Have fun. wt

thanks for the welcome!! I hope to do just that, its a fly and lure only res., but I may fish the river too, although I never really fished rivers before being from so. cal. I have heard that spoons and spinners work well, and there is always the trusty kastmaster, which is my favorite! I will try and get some pics up if we have any luck!
Fish on,
Scott

Also if you have kids with you and would like to bait to make it a little easier for them, you can get to Smith Res. if you drive through the campground and follow the road for a little over a mile. It was also recently stocked. I take my kids there and fish off the dam side and catch tons of fish with powerbait or eggs or just about anything else.
