Sparks lake?

Just camping in the area this weekend, have the fly rods and the canoe loaded... anybody have any advice on sparks lake? I truly prefer the river but may not have the choice to travel away from camp for too long.. If not no stress! Cheers, Bob
p.s. I always have my steelhead rods too, just in case i am allowed to head to the D :)

Most important this year.....bring your mosquito repellent-they are particularly thirsty.

I have fished Sparks Lake but it skunked me. Although there were an abundance of case caddis, I could not connect with a fish if my life depended on it. Perhaps it is a better canoeing lake than a fishing one...... then again.. Hosmer has skunked me too.:(

Beautiful place to camp! Never saw a fish over 4 inches though.
