South Florida salt water!

I fished out of Naples Florida for about 2 hours Monday. We were supposed to take a charter, but the storm caused rough waters offshore and thr charter cancelled. No biggie, my dad put his boat in the water and we headed to his backwater spots. We caught a variety of Snappers (my first florida fish), Sheepshead (zebra striped ones), and Jacks. I had a blast hangin out with my dad. I'll go back and spend more time on the water asap! Maybe I'll get him back here for a sturgeon or salmon one of these days.

No Reds, maybe next time. The plan was Grouper, then the storm hit... We are planning a shark charter for my next visit, that should be entertaining.

Sweet. I spent 2 years living near Tampa in the 90's and we manily fished for grouper and reds. Man i miss grouper, so delicious!
Spending time with your Dad is the best part :thumb: Thanks for the report............bringing me back.

You're talking about the temperature, right?

Spent a week and a half there this last summer. Neat place. Didn't get to fish.

Looks like Big3d had a blast.
