I'm making plans to hit the siletz sometime maybe this weekend or the next and was looking for input on where would be the best place to put in and take out. I've never fished this river, so any help is appreciated.

Steelyfishn said:Mike and Jeanna that's an awesome drift. I reccomend it to anyone with a drift boat. A text book run 1 slightly technical spot 1/2 mile or so from moonshine but its a piece of cake. I want in LOL... My vehicle prevented me from it sunday that's why I ended up at the alsea mike.

Also, the distance from the put in to the take out is only across town (1/2 mile) and the drift is about 5 miles. A friend of mine told me they would go early in the morning and be able to drift the loop twice with no problem.
I have always wanted to do this drift. I have a little pontoon boat that I sometimes drift the Alsea in (Mill Cr. to Campbell), so if you're going to do the town loop and wouldn't mind me tagging along let me know. I might work out.
