lookin to put the boat in near the coast, what ramps would i want to use, and any other help down there would be very appreciated, gonna be targeting salmon and steelhead this weekend. Pm me if you need to.

You're looking to drift the lower river? Or troll in the Bay? The portions from Agness down are heavily run with Jet boats... not to make it sound like its not worth doing... The normal game is to anchor in a travel lane and stick out your rogue river spinner rigs off hook... The drift from Foster Bar to Agness would be a good one to look into. Keep your eyes peeled for boats coming up rapids that you're going through... can be dangerous... especially those ******** mail boats

The reports I've heard very recently have the the area above the bay slowing down and boats are starting to fish the bay more. A drift boat is fine for trolling around in the bay, although the afternoon wind can be a real pain.

Fish are in the estuary as of yesterday,had a buddy call with a report and a offer to come down and fish.

I would definitely recommend trolling in the bay!

You can drive out onto the gravelbar and launch at John's hole at the head of tide, that'll give you a different type of fishing than bumber boats in the bay. Lot's of fly fishermen fish Claybanks which is the 1st hole above tidewater.
