I HATE HIPPIE FESTIVALS!!!!!!!!
will explain later in detail after sleep is gained and headache dissapates
Ok i promised an update after sleep and my headache went away.. now everything else is sore.
Well I originally was at Cottage Grove Speedway directing traffic for the races when my buddy calls me around 6:30 saying they needed me at the Darling Reunion, for those of you that dont know this is accross the street from country fair and is a private affair for Darling Reunion and the shady rest camp ground. I arrive there after getting stuck in traffic due to wreck by Fern Ridge. Once there and on the clock first thing we do is a medical call, so I must escort the med's in. Once that is taken care of I go to my post. during the beginning of the night things are going great. topless women tons of cleavage I, as a young male, surely can't complain. I am moved to another location for access control from shady rest into darling, Basically i cannot allow people into darling without proper wristbands, they can purchase the day pass from me tho. I had a gentlemen try and get through in which i stopped him. I asked to see his wristbands and he didn't have any. I told him he needed to go back to the campground and he cannot come in. He started pushing on me and we start going at it (meanwhile i have cash and wristbands on me) we went down with him on top of me and my head struck the edge of the footbridge, he also had a hand around my throat which now makes it hard to swallow and I talk funny. also scratched my arm pretty good. two people pulled him off me and I said do not let him F*&KING go. they let him go :-| he turned around and took off running. we were not able to track him down and send him to jail. THAT is why i hate hippie festivals. drugs and alcohol do not mix well for most folks. Needless to say I would do it again. Some of the things that are done at these events worries me but when in uniform my opinions and personal morals do not come into play. Seeing kids brought to these events where drug use is pretty much allowed in a group setting.
With all that being said. Bring on the hippies... just cooperate with the damn rules LOL
Ok rant over any questions?
