Can anyone ID this plant. I think it might be considered a bamboo. I was told they grow about chest high. 024.png

could you take a closer picture...near the base, not sure if its bamboo...bamboo never stops growing.....i have a freind who works for a nusury that would be able to tell me.....so ya take a closer pic and we can figure it out

Thanks, I think I can do that today. It is not an emergency. No one or pet has eaten leaves from it or anything. I like the plant and am interested in what it is. Thanks NWKiller

It is Nandina domestica, or "heavenly bamboo", an ornamental. It is not really a bamboo. They grow like heck in California. We have some at our house and they do ok but grow very slowly. Ours are about six feet tall and spindly.

Heavenly bamboo yep a like you said they get about 4' an make a nice bush.

They also get red berry's on them. They are NOT edible .
