Had a great time over at Paulina Lake. Fishing conditions for kokanee were perfect. The fish were stacked up at about fifty feet deep, water temp was 66 degrees, and in the early morning hours the lake was glass smooth. The wind picked up in the afternoon as usual, but by that time we were back at the cabin for a nap. Slow trolling speeds with 100' of line out with three oz. of weight was the way to get into the fish.
I had not been to Paulina in quite a few years. It's been about 30 years since we were last up there as the Ocean had been our main fishing grounds until a couple of years ago. It is beautiful lake and I'll head back there for sure!
