Oregon coast fishing rules
Is there any special rule to fishing in Oregon Coast? What kind of fish can you catch off the Oregon coast?
There are lots of rules. Oregon regulators love rules and they love to make them super confusing.
See Oregon Fishing Regulations - Marine Zone if by coast you mean ocean.
Rock fish, salmon (coho and chinook) halibut lingcod and a host of others. Jamisonace nailed it with the rules. They have rule for the different species of fish, rules for the area or zone your fishing, rules for the different time of year, and mid-season changes. They have rules for the number of hooks used and they have rules for barbless hook, rules for the number of hooks used if you are bottom fishing and have some salmon on board and different rules when you don't. By all means get a copy of the Marine zone rules and fish identification chart.
