I have never fished there but have hiked it and stayed overnight in a cabin up at Jawbone Flats once. I remember they were going to have an upcoming class on Tenkara so I assume there are a bunch of dinks to be caught in the creek.
This time of year the area is swamped with tourists. You will need to arrive super early just to get one of the regulated parking spots. Don't make the mistake of trying to be innovative with parking, it is heavily patrolled now and there is a large fine for non-paying visitors. It is a beautiful hike and if you go far enough you will find some small fish. Otherwise, the large crowds can be a distraction. I live a few miles away and have learned to not even go there in the summer. Good luck!
