New anchor finally arrived, also using a dive reel to manage slack line

That's a new low for me, down to 11% in one day.

I was really hard on it, stalled it completely a few times in weeds, then ran about 4 miles round trip on the Umpqua.

They say it’s good to completely cycle deep cycle batteries. That might be cutting it a little close, especially if you are fishing downstream. Hate to have to paddle back. 😀

Put some good scratches in it today

Few issues, carrying the wheels with me interferes with the paddle, definitely need a new holder or something.

Anchor worked great at holding me, line management is an issue, reel is great for storing line but it doesn't work for retrieval.

Small change, added a ketch board and holder. My old cheap ruler finally got brittle and cracked apart

Well see if it stays here, otherwise I'll slip it further forward with the life jacket

News to me, a red flag is not enough at night apparently, have to have an actual light on anything hanging out of the bed

Hope you only got a warning. I don't think many people would be aware of that rule. Should the light be shining back into the eyes of following traffic? Seems weird.

Yeah he let me go no problem, guys on the Facebook page couldn't find anything either

I'll put a cheap battery light back there I guess

Maybe get a bicycle light (red) to put on it.

That's the plan, id like to eventually find a Yakima long arm, it would get lights

I ordered a cheap red light stick but it hasn't showed up

This did the job fine

I was thinking about adding a small standing deck but handled great yesterday

Drained the battery to 25% with about 9 hours of use, heavy weeds really drain it

For transport I keep this harbor freight foam pad in front of the motor mount to cushion everything

So far contact cement and gorilla double sided tape hasn't help but maybe goop will

Moved the ketch board, I realized yesterday paddling that it's in the way quite a bit.

Got some generic bike lights for the handle, the nite-ize glowstick didn't last 1 trip so I'm returning it

Bike lights were 6pack for 16$

Bike lights are junk, battery lasts about an hour or less, so they are returned.

I haven't been out but I did build an addition to my truck bed to help hold the back of the kayak up, not sure about lights yet

Finally able to get a decent light together, battery life shouldn't be an issue

Unfortunately one of them doesn't work on 100% brightness but company is sending another, 50% brightness works fine

As usual, that a very clean setup you've built.

Thanks bud, ran the lights yesterday for 6 hours and not a dent in the battery at all

Been a minute but I built a quick shelf to store and transport the trolling motor

Finally swapped my steel seat risers to aluminum, shaved about 4lbs

Good timing as the steel had some spots of rust as well
