Did you read past the first 10 words? It's a 1-game deal to raise awareness at some of the health problems that plague Native Americans, such as obesity and diabetes. I think it's cool. Sort of like the NFL wearing pink accessories to raise money and awareness for breast cancer.

"The uniforms are the focal point of a unique partnership between Oregon State and Nike N7 that is focused on creating awareness for the need to bring access to sport for Native American and Aboriginal youth as a means to improve their lives and create positive change in their communities. The turquoise color of the Nike uniforms is a distinct departure from Oregon State's traditional orange and black and is deeply symbolic of friendship and community in Native American culture. The game is the culmination of both partners' respective Native American Heritage Month activities."

Now we will be laughing stocks, all year long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Take a look, at OSU's new Basketball uniforms:

Nike And Oregon State Unveil Turquoise Basketball Uniforms - OREGON STATE OFFICIAL ATHLETIC SITE

They have been the laughing stock of the league since Gary Payton left :(

So, only the NATIVES have these problems? That is interesting. I kinda thought that sounded like problems the US is having. What are the Multi-multi million dollar casinos doing for this?

I'm reviving an old thread, but the Beavs are wearing the blue unis today against Cal. It's to honor Joe Burton's last home game in Corvallis (Burton is Native American). Classy!
