Glad to see that you got your gear now. COOL!

Do you have a boat?

When are you planning to go?

I wouldn't mind acquiring a seat, and trying Green Peter or maybe Detroit.

If you search under the Kokanee heading, you will find lots of threads. You'll learn what kind of gear to use, how to use it, places to go, etc.

The kokes are still probably near the surface of any lake. So fishing with no weight is fine. But, you should also try just a little deeper too. You can use a 1/2 or a 1 ounce banana weight and / or lake trolls like Ford Fenders. Attach about 2 feet of leader w/ a wedding ring spinner tipped with a piece of nightcrawler and two kernels of white corn.

As the season progresses, the kokes go for deep water (80' feet down or deeper). You'll need a downrigger then to get your terminal tackle down to where they are.

I have a small aluminum boat. No downriggers. Not sure when maybe next Saturday. Green Peter
