My first Sockeye ever!

I was plunking an orange tiger stripe spinglo w/ prawn tail and hooked what I figured was a Shad. I could tell it was small and coming right in, until it got close to the bank. Then it turned into a really small Steelhead, making runs and doing ariel acrobats. Once I finally landed the feisty little fish on the forth or fifth try, I was informed by fellow fishermen, that it was a Sockeye. Kewl, yet another first for me on the Columbia River

That's what I've been told rippin. Will know soon enough. Just put the 3rd pan of alder chips in the smoker
