Ouch! Mine too!!! But, then again, I still listen to my music at high dB!

Here are a couple of mine:

Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac (founder and original guitarist of Fleetwood Mac...sorry peeps...it WASN'T Lindsey Buckingham)

Humble Pie (featuring Peter Frampton of "The Herd", and Steve Marriott of "Small Faces")

The Move (w/ or w/out Geoff Lynne who founded and led ELO)

John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers (especially the albums "Blues Breakers w/ Eric Clapton, and "Hard Road" w/ John McVie on Bass, and Aynsley Dunbar on drums).

Cream
Led Zeppelin
The Moody Blues

Vintage Pink Floyd w/ Syd Barrett (they were originally a blues band, before becoming Psychedelic)

Credence Clearwater Revival
The Band
Buffalo Springfield (how can you go wrong w/ Stephen Stills an Neil Young?)

For you youngin's out there...use Google, Wikipedia and You Tube to how good these band were!

ALL of the "music" that you listen to today, had it's beginnings w/ these bands (and many others). I'd encourage you to broaden your horizons and give them a listen.

I think I'd get along fabulously with troutdude and bigsteel.

I like Zeppelin, Floyd, Buffalo Springfield (and solo Neil Young and Stephen Stills), Doors, Cream (and older Clapton near that era), old blues (Buddy Guy, Howin' Wolf, et al), Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane (old days), Soundgarden, Nirvana, Metallica, DRI, Iron Maiden, Motley Crue, Black Sabbath, Uncle Tupelo...the list goes on.

brandon4455, as for Nirvana, I like to go further back...like these two:

YouTube - Nirvana - Negative Creep
YouTube - Nirvana - Paper Cuts

How old are some of you guys? My 31 year old son likes the Stones and a lot of '60s music and he wasn't brought up on it, I listened to EM all the time TD,Kraftwerk,Cuzco..etc. I find it interesting that a lot of younger people likes my generation's music I wouldn't have been caught dead listening to Artie Shaw or Benny Goodman!! I guess that just shows how damn good they were. It was an exciting time a new song by someone alsmost everyday and the anticipation for Sgt Pepper was painful! BTW I really like Nirvana ,the Cranberries and a few more I can't think of at the moment and I'm 65.

mgman6000, I'm 41.

The Beatles are great and the Cranberries are also pretty good. From the same Cranberries era, I also dug L7.

Okay, let's make this interesting. So, you are going into space, like, I don't know, to save Druidia from the Spaceballs. You have room in the Winny for 5, and ONLY 5 albums. What are you bringing. Only one caveat... ...you can only name 1 "Greatest Hits" or compilation album. The rest must be single release albums.

Go!

(No particular order)
- Bruce Springsteen: Born to Run
- BonJovi: BonJovi
- The Beastie Boys: Licensed to Ill
- Frank Sinatra: The Very Best of Frank Sinatra
- Metallica: Ride the Lightning

I am sure I am missing something, but these are the first five I thought of. Shows you what really drives you when you have to make a quick decision. (This list took me 4 minutes to compile).

What have you got?
