Morning choice for lower Mckenzie?

What would be a good choice for early morning a weighted nymph or a dry fly?

I am a believer in Nymphs, never had much use for dry flies. Run a deep nymph though those sweet seams and you will have a great day.

Agree with @Troutski. If there is a hatch and fish are rising dry files are a heck of a lot more fun, but nymphs seem to always do the trick. That is not to say that you can’t get fish to rise without a hatch.
