What's the Salmon fishing looking like at Moonshine, I know the boundary is at the boat ramp for spring chinooks, but I want to know if it's even worth collecting my gear and going out. If anyone knows, that would be pretty good.

Biggest Fall Nooks I ever caught, where at Moonshine. With all black spinners, per Jed Davis's book.

But I know nothing about Springers in that stream. Hopefully someone else will chime in and OFFer some advice.

The siletz gets a small run of spring chinook. It varies from about 200-500 individuals and are all native. They are pretty spread out and come in from may to july. There are a few people who target them but they are not way to find and success is generally pretty low. Double check, but I believe the upstream boundary is the moonshine boat ramp. So no salmon fishing in the gorge.
