Left fishless but still a good day

Took a buddy and his girlfriend up to Carmen Diversion Sunday for a day of fishing. Got to the lake around ten in the morning. There was only a couple inches of snow on the ground where we parked. Here's a pic of my dog rolling around in the snow.

The big catch of the day was a stick caught using power bait from the bottom by my buddies girlfriend.

We fished for a few hours while my dog sat and patiently waited for us to catch a fish.

Here's a couple of pics of the lake on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.

Fishing on a day like that almost makes you forget that you went there to fish:) Does that make sence?

It absolutely makes sense, I was just looking through some of my old photos of fishing on some beautiful winter days and I fondly remember how nice it was, even if I froze my butt off and didn't catch a thing.

I think the elevation is around 2500 ft.

Yes it makes perfectly good sense to me too.
