Do not go. No access unless you own a time share (oh boy BIG money)
No trout.

Welcome to OFF!
There are tons of warmwater fish, but just can't get to them! I have never heard of sturgeon there!

hey fishschooler, it seems so sad that such a big and close lake, isn't open for public access.

so not one spot around the whole lake isn't private property?:think:

public access on Lake Oswego

public access on Lake Oswego

Having grown up there, you can fish in downtown at Millenium Park and along the train tracks. That is one of the only, if not the only, public access point. There's just a bunch of warm water fish, but there's also some cuttthroat trout that spawn in the recently restored Springbrook Creek.

The railroad tracks are fenced now. Im sure people wouldnt want to see someone fishin there... I havent seen anyone fishing either. And I think people would think the guy with the long pole would be weird... You can just go accross the street to george rogers park. Some decent bass water there.

Lake Off Limits!!!!

Lake Off Limits!!!!

With all the water around Portland,I have never understood the allure of Lake Oswego. However,no matter what anyone has told you, NO ONE is allowed to use Lake Oswego water for ANY reason unless you live there, and can prove it, or be a guest of someone who has water usage rights. I'm serious! If you look in the Bass Fishing section and go back to 6-13-08 you will find an article I copied directly from the Lake Oswego Corporation. Why LOC? Because that is the company which owns the whole blooming lake. For your wallets' sake, check out the article. Be safe.
