The swinging gate for the lower ramp and bathrooms, that is closed, has a larger detailed closure statement but i'm not sure what it says, there was a crowd around it
That's I believe as well, I'm social distancing, I wear a mask while loading and unloading, and don't stop anywhere else.Sherrif's and wardens didn't ask you questions, why should we?
Good to know for future reference, did they have an opening date?I called the local Army Corp. of Engineers office which oversees this area. The Ranger I spoke with confirmed Kirk Pond is closed because the banks surrounding the pond are under their management. And even worse news, Cottage Grove lake and all access points are closed as well due to Covid.
Unfortunately no, they did give me a good tip, one of Dorena’s boat launches is a Lane County Park, I believe Baker Bay. The campground is closed, but sounds like the ramp is open. I might go check it out tomorrow. I usually have my sights set on Cottage Grove right about now.Good to know for future reference, did they have an opening date?

Game warden: Didn’t you see the no-fishing sign, son?
Boy: I’m not fishing, sir. I’m teaching these worms how to swim!
I talked to the phone operator on the other end of the number, she said that technically the land is closed, but they can't close the water.Good for you , the above poster is wrong . You can launch from the road army core rep told me they have no right to close the water anywhere . Just the little bit of land used for common use . Don’t be sheep ask strong questions
