Does anyone like to run jigs for salmon? If so what size and how much color do you use?

Sure do! Depends on the color of the water, but I usually run a 1/4 oz with a 3/0 hook, usually pink/white, cerise/pink, or chartreuse/white. Seems to work for the fall run on the Siuslaw

yep, 1/40z, lots. I've got a flame orange and white one I really like. I throw it in the tide water for nooks when they seem to be near the top. Coho are jig eatin' fools!! I like to twitch them in water that is too slow to drift in 1/8th and in smaller water 1/16th. Chums and pinks will eat a 1/8th oz jig.

My favorite Chum jig... Brass head, Cerise marabou, and a little white schlappen maybe too...But Cerise and White, 1/16 - 1/8, with a brass head will nail down hundreds of Chums in a day, before they figure it out, and you have to switch colors!

I ordered the salmon jig pack from First Bite jigs. They look amazing in the water. I've yet to catch one on them cause bait works soooo much better.
With fish few and far between, it's hard to NOT use eggs and/or sandshrimp...
or spinners. :D
