If this forum had a flag I know it would be flying at half staff to honor Chief Ralph Painter of Rainer. May he rest in peace. Prayers to his family and the community of Rainer.

That is just terrible. May God be with his family, friends, and the City of Rainier in this time of tragedy.

Indeed, a tragedy through and through.

The perpetrator's dad and buddy, had just talked about getting him some help...only 20 minutes before the whole thing went down. If they had of been successful or intervened earlier, the incident could have been avoided.

Prayers go out not only for the Chief's family, friends and community; but for the shooter's family as well. There are NO winners in this sort of scenario.

God rest Chief Painter.

Peace and God's grace for Chief Painters' family, friends and the community as well as the suspect and his family. Simply tragic.
