Help! How should I tag this fish?

Hmmm. Is it wild, or hatchery. The way I see it, the adipose is missing. (along with a few other fins)

You should call odfw and get credit for a new sub species.

Obviously clipped, under 18 inches, looks like a Siletz Jack to me!

Jack! that fish had to have been 40 pounds! It ran over 100 yards peeling line like a freight train  Then just stopped. Didn't fight so well bringing it back in, must have used all its energy on the first run...... dam seals

JUst had a extemely small head;)

No, but a 50 pound seal feels like a 40 pound fish! :D

It clearly has been adipose clipped though.

I think Kodiak has it right. Spent the day on the lower Umpqua today and was next to a boat that was trying to revive a wild silver and he told us the sea lion was waiting about 3 or 4 feet below the fish. When he let go of the fish, the sea lion grabbed it right away then put on a show throwing it in the air.
