Jack! that fish had to have been 40 pounds! It ran over 100 yards peeling line like a freight train Then just stopped. Didn't fight so well bringing it back in, must have used all its energy on the first run...... dam seals
I think Kodiak has it right. Spent the day on the lower Umpqua today and was next to a boat that was trying to revive a wild silver and he told us the sea lion was waiting about 3 or 4 feet below the fish. When he let go of the fish, the sea lion grabbed it right away then put on a show throwing it in the air.
