Headed to the Rogue

My wife and I are headed to the Central Point area at the end of October for a anniversary trip. We are planning on taking at least a couple of hours one day to go splash around in the Rouge and see if we can't entice a trout or two to take a fly. I am planning on tying up a couple of patterns for the trip and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions? Also does anyone have a favorite fly shop in the area that they would recommend? I have a couple of things that I would like to pick up if we get the chance.

I used to use egg patterns and heavy heavy stone flies - Might check Ashland Fly shop - they seem to have a lot of information

Thanks. I will have to give them a try.

How heavy of a stone fly are we talking?

We used size 8 bent nymph hook with double layer of .020 lead for stone fly nymph with rubber legs - also Crazy legs and Otis bugs
