Haystack Reservoir 3/20/14

Had some free time this morning and thought I'd visit Haystack Reservoir again The weather was perfect with no wind to speak of, got on the water just as the sun came up.

Today I rigged up with a F9 silver Rapala working it erratically.

First pass produced a stout 14" Kokanee. (Cut bright orange)

The next pass and my rod tip got buried. Could lighting strike twice?

The 11#er last week didn't put up a protracted fight, today's catch did.

24" @ 6lb hold over with lots of spunk. (Cut pink but the meat is very firm)

My mother in law now considers me her "favorite" son in law, cause she thinks I'm catching her salmon; bless her heart....
