Pretty fun day on the water, I caught 6 fish and a buddy caught 3

I was evenly split, 3 on the frog and 3 spinnerbaits. Best went 3lbs 14oz, absolutely demolished the frog in the center of a weed mat

Had one more do a 180 over the frog, and somehow missed on at the surface with the spinnerbait.

Water seems much dirtier than usual, the bite was fully shutoff by 11am. Bluebird sky's, light wind, and lots of heat

Couple other people fishing, didn't see any fish hauled in though

Made it out there Saturday morning, fished 630-9 and caught 3.

Had one more smack the frog and another roll on the keitech

Water is a little clearer, really busy though. At least 5 other kayaks and people on the bank

Are you only catching quality fish or are you not counting the dinks?

No dinks, you get a photo of every fish caught, I think there's one from before the weeds hit, on a senko, maybe 12"

Overall the pond itself is super out of balance, of all the locals I've asked, it seems the biggest fish pulled out of there was 6lbs, which is not large at all for a pond with that much forage. I've pulled one just over 5 out of there last fall, but everything else is 2-3 with some 4s mixed in.

All that grant money, they really need a biodiversity study of some kind, or a shock survey

Unfortunately it would likely mean removing quite a few 2-3# fish, which may happen regardless given the pressure it's receiving. I hardly see any crappie but I'm also not fishing for them, I have also never seen a decent sized perch but they used to be caught in there

Over 2k views! Not bad

4 fish this morning, 1 frog and 3 chased a spinnerbait down

Missed 3 more fish on the frog, they seem to be slapping it and immediately letting go, and they never come back for it in there, even with a follow-up bait

I added a trailer hook, but it makes the bait too large

Some of those really suck that frog in. I'll bet they are fun to get unhooked.

Not too bad! The gamakatsu's are very thick, so I usually punch back with pliers and they pop right not

Ned rig is much harder, hook comes out but 50% of the time its ruined, I try to not use pliers but those smallmouth are a little too fiesty

The water got a break for a week! I'm back in town but might miss out tomorrow.

Here's their new flyer though

It happened! I caught a dink, no photo though

5 fish this morning, missed 2 more.

Real early but the weeds are dead, step one to it's winter stage, water is already dirty enough

Wish I could hold the fish differently, all my photos look the same, no worse than all the ketch board tournament photos I guess.

4 fish today, and missed 3 on the frog.

Another dink too, I think maybe that comment sparked em up [emoji23]

Started off real slow this morning, probably the smoke, sun wasn't really peeking through until 9 or so.

One smaller fish early with a spinnerbait, then a thump and a miss.

Had another blow up on a topwater popper, and missed both trebles

Bite was slow for a an hour or two before that sun peaked through.

Instantly caught one, cast back to the same spot after seeing movement, and proceeded to catch 5 fish in 7 casts out of the same hole between 2 stacks of weeds.

Must have caught the whole school, looked for some similar spots and was able to pick up another 3 fish and lost another.

Had one chase down a frog but must have just wanted to bump it.

Ended the trip with 9 fish, biggest just over 3.5lbs

Missed some time out there! It was 44 degrees this morning, dead still, with a smokey horizon

I fished about 630-10, caught 3 fish

Had a follower and a blade attack on the spinnerbait after the first two fish so I switched to a chatterbait to pick off the last one.

Threw the plopper and a frog a bit too, just too still.

Lost a fish to a clean break in my leader, not exactly sure what happened.

Super low water levels, very weedy subsurface, tough to fish until they die off a little more.

Evening bite for once! About 630-8pm

Wind was ripping out of the SSW, pretty uncommon, usually it's NW or even straight N it seems. All the weed channels and little pockets I fished Saturday morning had reorganized themselves.

I fished the whole bank with nothing to show for it, finally had a fish blow up on a frog off a weedy point, chased it down like a snake and I got lucky with the hookset. 4lbs 7oz! Good fish for sure

Wind never seemed to die off, the only advantage was it helped with the bugs a tiny bit.

Only gave it an hour Saturday morning, fish have definitely moved and the overcast weather didn't help.

There was 8 other folks fishing either in kayaks or on the bank

One good fish before I loaded up and moved.

Short morning, on the water about 7:15 and fished until 9am or so.

Rain had me slowed up, stopped at a real bathroom to change into rain gear.

Roughest weather I've had the new kayak in, it was easy 1' white caps soon after I launched, then slacked off immediately to nothing until I left at 9:30

2 fish, both on the whopper plopper 110 for a change, they both went aerial on it, but the bite died with the wind.

Fished from 7-10am on Saturday, for the first time in awhile I did the full circle.

Southern side is pretty much empty, weeds are right at the surface and it's only 1-2' deep.

Caught 2 "okay" largemouth, a small crappie, and some tiny largemouth on a Ned rig.

Had to bust out the senko, water was dead still and bluebird sky. Water seemed a little clearer than usual

Been a minute! Didn't fish for long, maybe an hour about 430pm, I somehow lost a contact and had to end the trip early.

2 small fish

Saw a dead snake as well

The "nature trail" no longer has any "nature", the land around the pond is absolutely demolished, they took a brush hog and removed everything left. Still more paving planned as well

Spent an entirely too long out there in terrible conditions

Caught one small fish and that's it. It ate a dead sticked keitech, which is no surprise considering the lack of light, wind, and pressure

Only one fish, but you have an awesome rig to test out!

It was a good run!

First time I've gotten fishing line in the prop. I drove over a crankbait and it made it about halfway down the hull before I realized it was a lure.
