First steelie!!!!

I just had to share this one with the world, just a little late. My daughter (4yrs) caught her first steelie back a few weeks ago on the Alsea. Handled the fish like she had been doing it all her life. Thanks Fluffy for the Pic!

I'll be taking my 3 yr. old great niece out soon, for her first trout. I took her mom out, at the same age.

Passing on the tradition, it's what it's all about.

I can't believe she whooped you that bad for trying to take it back! I'm glad you and your mom could be there for that moment. I can still hear her little voice saying "Look at that fish go!" when he went into the death roll by the bank. She has been after me almost daily to go get more "big pink princess fish". I told her the summer steelies are comming..wants to know if they are summer fish if she can wear her skirt with a tank top next time...and wants a pink rod......The fancy midgets get demanding don't they?

Thats great Phil I can't wait to get my 7 year old girl out there in to some good size fish. She likes the catching part of it all but not to much the fishing part gets board to fast. Great pick to man I love it.
