First fish!!

I went up the the north santiam river yesterday with drew and we met up with mrlindeman. It was a beautiful sunny day. We all got into fish and had numerous bites throughout the day


After swinging my flies all day this little guy decided to make my day and become the first fish that has ever taken my own personally tied flies. It was a awesome feeling!

It was pretty neat seeing all those spawning Kokanee (not the Santiam), never seen such a thing in my life, looked like a big red cloud of jack buck Coho's, things were like 1-3lbs!

Nice meeting you Tribal, that was an awesome day, not too many people like to fish as long as we do :lol:.

good job guys....there are some nice spots along there. We seen the kokanee spawning last year or so and it was awesome to see that many.

I posted the video in the video section It was a great day and nice to make a new friend. Thats a great little fish. It is unforgettable catching that first fish on a hand tied fly.
