First day targeting springers

Went out on a guided trip with some cowokers today. Let's just say it was a SLOW day on the water. We had one missed take down and shortly after that I'm calling out "Rod down!". Apparently, sturgeon will hit on Kwikfish. Oh well, we still had a good time.

seen people catch gators on kfish with sardine wraps on the willy. also saw em eat a spin glo & shrimp on the columbia. nice job out there.

My buddy reeled it in but it was a pretty good fight. In fact, we were giving some cr*p for taking so long to bring it in.

Yeah, we got the line wet and everything else too! I hear you though, here's a couple pics of the Oxbow boat ramp on Friday. Hhmmm, high water tactics? Just don't get snagged on the TREE floating down the river! In the second pic, you can see the tree extends all the way to the shore as it got hung up in the tailout. It's probably still there now.
