Fall 'Nooks

Got out on the river yesterday(saturday) looking for some fall nooks. didn't see much happening out there. we were just below the picket fence fishing in about 35' of water.. probably had a good 15-20 boats in view either plain sight or through the binos. fished from 1pm until 5:30ish and didn't have any action or see anyone doing anything other than fighting off boredom.

Threw everything at them we could. Kwiks, Wobblers, Spinners....i didn't have a kitchen sink with me or we probably would have tossed that out too.

I've spend around 15 hours out there so far and the only action I saw was on Aug 1st, which was 1 fish someone held up when they were re-arranging their boat getting ready to take off. It looked like a really nice fish. Of course, any salmon is nice but this one was bigger than average.

I keep hearing reports from folks about a couple of 40lb'ers taken earlier this week...and a few other spotty reports from some local folks i know about a fish being caught here and there.

me and a buddy went out on wednesday caught a 23lb nook and he went again with his son the following day and caught another one they are there just gotta find the ones that are willing to bite

Where is this plunking hole you speak of? I am on a mission to learn all these hole this year and am doing well so far. Thanks in advance.

I didn't plunk but the only place I know to plunk is warrendale I do well there
