thanks killer. ive noticed on this forum that nobody really likes to leave any real helpful tips they just get started talking about guessing where there picture is or about the jigs or spinners they make. but nothing really informitve on here or very intresting. i notice this because over 40 people have took a look are not willing to talk about it. but there interested by the title until they see the question and move on. i think a lot of people on here seem very sensitive and secretive about things like this. i thought that talking about stuff like this is what a fishing forum is partly about.thanks for posting steelmonkiller at least theres one guy out of 40 sum people interested in the subject to leave a comment.:wall::wall::doh:

I would use the smaller jigs in dark colors like was said. Don't limit yourself to just one style or color though. If there is one thing I've learned it's to be ready and willing to change up what you try to entice them with. If something isn't working, try a different size, color or gear. And cover as much water as possible. There isn't a secret or magic jig,it's what catches their attention at that particular second.
Good fishing to you and your buddy. Let us know how you do and don't forget,we love pictures.

its gonna be a while before too much info is spread around on here about e.c, we have several members that are virtual specialists on the creek... they have shared quite a bit on it this year ( more than I would ) and in return been over-run with additional pressure... so you will notice any post about eagle is rather zipper lipped.... Your post would have recieved tons of action if it had been more generalized, like in small rivers and creeks, as apposed to in eagle creek. so please... don't hate the players... hate the game- And as far as 40 views, some posts on here have 2000-5000 views and only 20 responses, there is a very good chance that out of that 40, steelmonkiller and mabe a few others had any time tested expirence.. 38 of them may be saying to themselves, yeah... what is the best color???? we have a very large amount of in-expirenced anglers on here, the general feel of the forum makes them feel welcome and invited.... so you should give a post a bit to get hit.

;) some of us don`t fish jigs and just move on too.

gypotats, I would suggest waiting more than 5 hours before getting all foamy at the mouth over it, that`s for sure:lol:

Dark red can be killer when the water is down and I wouldn`t be afraid to throw a night mare either. Good luck

This sight has turned me on to some great tips, techniques and fellow fisherpeople. It is all about field work though. Nothing in a book or on a forum is going to help you catch fish without hitting the water hard. Try everything you have in your box and then move on. Not trying to start a forum feud I just think this sight has plenty to OFFer and if you stick around you'll find most on here are MORE than willing to help. My friend has been killing them on pink and white jigs on the Clackamas(EC and Dog Creek fish!!!)

and some people feel like thats a question that dont need to be asked almost every one i know picks jigs and what color to run depending on water conditions so when your down at the creek look at the water and you tell me what looks best for that day. I really dont think there is a killer color that will for sure get you a fish. some days i will get them on one jig can evan come back the next day and jig will still catch fish then somedays it dont so i tie on a different color and it ends up catching fish

Are you freaking kidding me. Larry is the biggest joke in the fishing industry that ever happened. You ever see his show "Fishing the west". He was busted for using milk jugs to imitate fish fighting. Larry Schoenborn, Give me a break buddy!!

I was litterally just about to say that!!!! My dad and I were just talking about this yesterday.. Oh Larry, Poor guy!

:lol:my dad and I tooo!! Don`t get me wrong, when I was a kid I loved the show. But when I learned he would have someone hand the rod to him, place already dead fish on the end of a rod, the milk jug thing, it was pretty disturbing to me.
Kingsalmon is a troll. IMHO:cool:

Yup, I could almost tell there was somethin fishy about the guy watching some of his shows. So it didn't suprise me as much, I just liked a few of his videos such as one on my favorite lake ( East Lake )

I'd be more happy with 1 reply then forty replies with forty different colors. Something I try to do on forum posts is preview and reread my post. then edit button (after a re-read).
