DeWalt T-Stak tackle box

Got tired of Plano 3700 Boxes laying horizontally in the box I use for my kayak. If you need the bottom one, it's a pain to drag out without everything on top sliding out.

I have a collection of DeWalt TStak boxes I use in the garage, and a Plano 3700 fits perfectly upright/vertically, and I can add secondary boxes or drawers. Only downside so far is the color, the black will heat up quick in the sun.

Had to add a divider. Cutting Board/Plastic would be ideal, but I don't have any around.

I added holes for weight reduction but made them too big IMO. Spools and such fall through it. I'll make another if it's an issue.

Definitely gonna check these out. Looks a lot better than my milk crate. I'm thinking a couple vertical rod holders on the sides and some small D rings to lash it down. Thanks for posting. Love the DIY stuff.

No problem bud!

Before you order, look into Craftsman Verastak. Exact same thing but a red colored top and cheaper because it doesn't say DeWalt. Your local Lowes might have them now that they own the rights to Craftsman.

(Stanley Black and Decker owns Craftsman and DeWalt)

Some people buy the T-Stak or Verstack Drawers and mount them under their seat, it doesn't quite fit under mine but it definitely fits under hobie seats.

Been using this setup for awhile but just painted it white, hoping it will stay cooler in the sun

Best decision I made was painting it white. It probably glows behind me in the yak but it's cool nearly all day. Kinda wish the kayak was a brighter color

Rod holder is great, gets my 4th rod behind me when I want to eat or adjust on the front of the yak

Almost a full 2nd year, the box itself was doing great, kept the rain out, went into the water a few times and floated really well. White paint kept the temp way down.

Always looking for more storage, so I took the box (same model) that I used to house my lithium battery in and made a 2.0

It was already painted, ivory instead of white.

Added a saddlebag to the side out of a Plano quick access bag, used some grey cutting board to mount. The bag also has a light internal structure so it holds itself pretty well

Moved the rod holders over, but moved them up above level with the lid, reels would tend to spin into the way because the rod but would bottom out before the reel seet fits into the slot

Moving the leader, splishot wheel, and little extras out of the box allows me to fit an additional regular height 3700 and a 3700-half box. (TFO Terminal tackle box next to it) I may still add a divider somewhere to keep the boxes upright, makes reloading them much easier

V3 underway. This is one of their newer boxes, metal hinges on the clasps for adding boxes

The lid has extra storage that I modified for larger compartments by cutting out the dividers

Going to get painted and the rod holders and saddlebag will move over with it

Broke out the old box to test out a different side bag

Waterproof, little bigger, and weighs less

Been busy painting, I noticed my battery box was super warm to the touch in the sun. So I matched it to the tackle box
