Delta Ponds Eugene

Does anyone know if you are allowed to fish the Delta Ponds in Eugene? It looks like it would be a killer place to catch some bass. I'm about to move out of creswell and near that area so I was just hoping for close fishing hole.

Yea they are open..But can get quite weed choked in the summer..They have been doing some improvements this winter to get fresh water flow from the Willamette River..That may help in keeping the stagnant weed beds down..But there are quite a few fish in there..I use my kayak in there from time to time and that seems to be the best way to get access ..The banks are pretty overgrown and hard to get to...

there are some TOADS in the ponds in Creswell. i got a 5, a 7, and a 10 lber there. yeah my lips are moving, but i have pics. i'll post them when i get them from my other computer. baits you may ask? secrets! you'll have to figure it out like i did.

Mokai, I know this is an old post, but where do you launch at Delta ponds? I have wheels for the yak if need be

You can launch at 2 places off of Good Pasture Island Rd. There's one that goes to the pond on the left and another place a little ways north on the right side of the road. You can't miss it.

On 5-10-2011 and got two tiny bites from 6" fish. Went fishing 5-11-2011 for lunch. Fished on west side of Delta Hwy. Water SUPER LOW. Nothing for me or another fisherman I saw there.
Going today, 5-12-2011 at lunch on the waters connecting river to bike path and double tunnel above and below spillway. I will let you know how it goes.
