Clackamette Park

I have never fished in that river and I was thinking about trying tomorrow. Up until this point I have been fishing still water lakes and ponds. Other than the tides ... any suggestions on tackle, method, or any other pointers? Thanks as always!

Wow I feel very un-knowledgable!!! I'm not sure where they meet or divide. I honestly don't know the area that well, but the part I was thinking was farther down past the skate park off the bank.

That would be the clackamas. 8'6-9' rod. Spinning or baitcast setup. Should be plenty of summer runs passing through. Drift fishing or bobber and jig/bait. I'll pull steelhead outta that section of river all year long and coho end of summer.
