Hows it going everyone, just wanted a little input. Wondering if you guys could pointt me in the direction of some oppurtunities of decent size to big trout within an hour or a little more of Bend. I fish the Fall river and parts of the deschutes recently. Should i head to hosmer or Davis? Or anywhere else doing good right now. Thanks, tight lines.

You should have more to choose from than you listed. Try checking out www.boatescape.com for some great info.

If you have he time you could check out the Crooked River below Bowman Dam. It's a great place to do a little fly fishing. If you head over to those Cascade lakes keep an eye on the weather there is talk of snow on the way.

i was going to say that too, but the crooked doesn't have "big" fish.. i mean it does, ive seen them jump but never heard of anyone catching a 20-24 inch trout out of there. regardless of the size tose crooked fish can put up a fight. the whitefish too and it's a great place to go

True the Crooked doesn't have the biggest fish in Central Oregon, but a 15" bow on that river is a lot of fun. I think the big fish are over on the Williamson waiting for Dave and Rose to return.

This might be too far but Crescent Lake should be producing large browns and macks right now. Not sure if you have a boat but I'm pretty sure you can rent one.

with the canals closed the water is high from bend down, but there is still good water. you could try tumalo state park or go somewhere above town like benham falls

You might want to check out any of these three places...... 1. Lower Bridge west of hwy 97 out of Terrebonne on Lower Bridge rd. 2. The Folly water 3. Steelhead Falls. The last two acess from the Crooked River Ranch. Do a google earth for steelhead fall and it will take you to both places. Good luck.

Nice man, fly rod? Might go hit up Tumalo today and strip some streemers and do some nymping. In the snow. My favorite time to fish!

i fish my fly rod 90% of the time, but that was on a spinning outfit. there is some good water upstream of the park.
