The Buoy 10 area has some changes coming on October 1st. Unless ODFW makes some more changes.........it will go to two adult salmon no more three coho days. You can keep chinook clipped or not and up to five jacks clipped or not if they are chinook. There are still plenty coho out in the river. Yesterday was a fantastic day despite the wind and rain. We caught 10 coho without hooking one non clipped fish.
From the ODFW webb site.
October 1 – December 31: Retention of Chinook is allowed (fin-clipped or not). The daily adult bag limit is two salmonids.
•Jacks may only be retained October 1 – December 31 under permanent rules. The daily bag limit for jack salmon is five fish. Any Chinook jack (fin-clipped or not) may be retained. Coho jacks must be adipose fin-clipped.
