Welcome to the family...

Welcome to the best fishing forum you could hope to find! I don't fish your area often enough to have first hand advice for you. But,I did find a decent site with that sort of information. Try All Oregon - Oregon Directory of Oregon web sites by someone actually born in Oregon. follow the prompts: recreation~>fishing~>warm water bodies etc. It lists ponds with directions by county and tells what species you can hope to find. You may also want to try Boat Escape - Ultimate Oregon Boating, Camping & Fishing Resource | for a list of rivers, lakes and reservoirs. It,too lists species as well as current weather and directions. Please come back and let us know where you end up at. Good fishing!!

I don't know about Hillscreek but I do know they are in Fall Creek Res., Dorena, Cottage Grove Res., and I think Lookout point too.

Detroit Lake is full of Bullheads, and they seem to be all stunted at about 12 inches long (maybe an inch or two bigger). Just use a full nightcrawler, maybe some chicken, or chicken liver, bring LOTS of worms if you decide to use them.

The columbia slough is full of bullheads, the water is incredibly polluted though, if you want fish to eat I'd go somewhere else.

Fine then don't take my word for it, ODFW has an advisory in the 2009 fishing regs if you'd like to quote it as well.

Try the long tom in febuary when it is 28 degrees out. Wecaught so many we lost count. Many were small but a few were eatin size and one was easily a pound and a half in not more. I know a spot in east springfield that has decent sized cats or so the rumor is. I know there there just haven't gone and tried for them.

No. I've never caught a catfish there. Are you into pond fishing for bullheads? I know a couple ponds that have bullheads. Send me a PM if you'd like to know.
