Damn shame we didn't hook up we like the same beer only thing is I like the bi-mart specials on the 18packs of pounders. My 9.8 merc bit the dust this trip but luckily my local bro had me covered with his 5 h.p. merc and kept me on the water for the duration. we might have done better on the fish but it sounds like you boys had a little more of an adventure. I'm glad the trip turned out good for ya, you gotta be careful on the main lake I can't tell ya how many times i've heard of boats gettin swamped out there. Anyway good times bro nice job and

Why do people pull behind fishermen who are trolling and run their line? Really . . . most guys I come across are honestly not too swift piloting a boat.

I leave it mostly in the water but i can see it from the campfire. My last boat we had to drag it up but it leaked and i unhook the trailer and shove it out of the way for the weekend. the first guys had an expensive boat and just left camp and cut 90* from us heading straight out in the lake to start thier day and later they were fishing the same way so they new but had know manners. Most guys in expensive boats aren't the brightest star in the sky. The second guy i thing hey made an honest mistake but still mad me mad but then he came through with the lure return so al is mostly forgivin.

There are some huge fish in that place. My wife has pictures of her and her sisters holding up browns that were monsters. They used to camp there as kids. They would fish in the morning and at night and ski during the day. Crazy times.

hey how cum u not catchin and releasing?! u keep takin small browns like that and u are just pulling the fishery there down. way way too many guys fish wickiup anyways. there needs to be a lottery system for anglers to be allowed there and guys who have fished there for less than 10 yrs should be at the bottom of the allowed anglers. should be catch and release by law too. ahh well . . .

I do practice catch and release but it was the opener and hadn't ate a brown in a long time. Also had they been much bigger they would have stayed in the lake like I already stated. Don't worry i want to be able to catch fish for a lifetime ot just a weekend. We should do something about all the guys catching all the smaller kokes maybe by your standards?

i dont want to sound like an elitist or that we oregonians have an exclusive right to fish in our good lakes, but sometimes it gets old seeing the NV and CA guys going on and on about Wickiup like its "their" lake. is it true that Alan Cole's son caught a huge 20 plus brown recently at Wickiup on a Rapala plug and not an "AC"?? LOLssss!

Sorry i was buzzed earlier and took your post as an assult on me. I don't nearly think it needs to be that strick but I do think all the fisheries could be better managed but everyone has there own opinion on how. As long as i can go fish for fun and still have a chnce at some table fares i am all for it. I do think too many out of staters come here on there anual trips to our lakes and think they own them. we share i just think some idiots from cali should never be allowed back up here, i geard they already have been catching guys with live bait at diamond.
