Brooders

I was planing on goin after some brooders tomorrow I know people throw spinners at them but what else will they bite on? Like salmon eggs or nightcrawler maybe. Any input would be great thanks a lot!

yea try some bait there still trout and have to eat so they will.

Magnum Power Eggs OFF the bottom.

But, they'll tend to hug the banks at first. So if your tossing hardware, use the fan casting method to cover the water.

They bite on powerbait or power eggs. I hooked a 30+ incher with a small piece of powerbait on a size 16 treble 18 inches off the bottom. I've also caught one on a small spoon. They will bite on anything.

Also, if you have never caught a brooder and ate it, in my opinion they taste pretty bad. Other people like eating them, and you might like it too, but just from personal experience I'd throw the fish back, use it as cut bait, or give it to someone else.
