Backpacking/fishing

Looking for a good lake or stream for some backpacking and do some bank fishing. You guys have any suggestions, Would like to stay within three hours of Portland.

Duffy Lake is a good one. 3.5mi. Pack in a float tube if you like. Campgrounds good. Mowich Lake is aonther 1.5 miles. Go past detroit lake and somewhere at about mile marker 76 there is a turn off for Big Meadow. The trailhead is right there at the end near the horsecamp.

Kinda tough right now with all the snow everywhere. Lots of stuff down around Mt. Jefferson, and plenty by Mt. Hood. I've been skunked even getting to the last few high lakes I've attempted, even with snowshoes. :(
