Asian clams

I'm new to Oregon and have heard reports about Asian clams and what a nuisance they are. What's the best way to clean and dry my fishing gear to prevent them spreading further?

Personally, I like Asian clams.

Eat them. I used to have some oyster nets that were constantly invaded by mussels. I pulled the nets monthly, cleaned off all the mussels, and had a feast fit for a king!
Mussels grow so fast, but oysters take a while. Longer when trying to compete with mussels.

I'd read Asian clams were a cause of green algal bloom and were damaging fish in river/lakes etc. Didn't know they were popular

I don't know about popular, but they are edible if harvested from clean water.
They are filter feeders ...
