Anyone know a good boat that will fit on top of a Jeep Cherokee?

I am looking to buy a boat that will fit on top of my Jeep Cherokee. I will be towing a tent trailer so it has be ride on top. A platoon is not what I am looking for, and would like it to have a place to attach a small outboard motor... any suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks everyone

Check out The RamX "Crawdad" made by Coleman. It is sold at G.I. Joes. It is plastic with kevlar impregnated into the plastic making for an extremely strong material. I had read the hype on this "fantastic futuristic plastic" and thought yeah yeah ok. Until I was on the Siletz river and the motor died and the boats control was lost. I rammed a boulder and the boat absorbed the energy of the impact with nary a scratch. A metal boat would have a nice large dent and a wooden boat would have cracked at the severity but not the RamX product. I was extremely impressed. The can take up to a 6 hp motor and hold 420 lbs with nice swivel bass style seats and dont cost a fortune either. Randy

I enjoy fishing for everything that swims. My most respected fish so far would have to be the Steelhead. Although catching a beautiful golden trout in Springs first thaw is extremely enjoyable as well. I am definitely not one whom believes "if it aint a salmon why bother"; although catching a jumping coho or a chinook taking line like a freight train is always well appreciated. I enjoy lake fishing most I would have to say as to me there is nothing more enjoyable and relaxing than time spent out on the water trolling for whatever denizens of the deep chose to interact with me on that given day. Of course as I have heard many times and agree a day spent on the water is wonderful and if fish are caught it is just a bonus to the day!

I couldn't agree more...I must admit if I only had one to chose from it would be trolling for Trout, the environment;and the thrill of what ever is focusing on my lure...we live in a very spectacular area for just that style. i have a small 12 foot zodiac with an 18 horse gas motor that rides on top of a bronco 2. course the motor and gas, etc are in the cargo area. its not too hard to load it by oneself, as inflated with the bottom in it, its only bout 175lbs, and the weight is spread over the edge of the roof over the doors.

12' aluminum v hull picked up on craigslist last year for 150$ no leaks and title in hand. now i just need a small outboard. was even able to load it myself as the wife stood by holding my beer 3 of us fished out of it for a week and it did just fine and was easy enough to drag down to the water without having to go to the boat launch.
