Recommendations on high lakes fishing with bait or spinners?

Anyone here know of places that are not too far away from the Portland metro area (Less than 2 hours preferably) and a roughly 2-2.5 mile maximum hike? I think that would be best for a day trip. I've tried Mirror Lake which works, but it seems like that's the most crowded of the high lakes. Any suggestions? Thanks!

The Gifford Pinchot in WA has what you're looking for.

Thanks for the reply, I'll definitely do my research on some of those lakes.

I've always had decent luck with one of those clear floats you can water to for weight and Royal Coachman or Prince's Nymphs. Just cast and reel them back slowly.
