Irish lord, cabezone and sculpin all look alike, but I think so too, and the fact that it can change color. Thank you all! It was caught on the south jetty, not too far (around the yellow mark/paint), coming in but low tide, with a Biwaa 4" ultra hog plus crappie nibble.

So far my three key things for crappie: 1) CrappieMagnet or TroutMagnet, plus a Crappie Nibble on the hook, and a bubble. 2) The time right before dark. 3) Return to the spot I ever caught one.

Caught it yesterday on the Newport jetty.

Why no store sells Fishbites and nobody even talks about it in Oregon? So far I haven't found any bait, live or plastic, that stays on the hook like the Fishbites.

My 1st bass of 2018 on Jan 2 and my most recent one yesterday. Too many to show between :harhar:, total 4 just this week.

Ha ha, my 1st bass of 2018 was on Jan 2 and my last bass of 2017 was on Dec 28. That's right, all year long, never a rest. Just yesterday, a 3.4 pound. About 20 or so, lost the count, LoL, during this winter. Just need to find the very right spot, the very right lure and the very right retrieve...
