I have never caught a sturgeon and wanted to see if I could tag along with an OFF member going out on a boat on the Willamette River (or bank too!) this weekend and try to get into some fish. If anyone is going let me know! I can meet up anywhere from Corvallis to Portland.

i wish i had a boat. maybe by next year if i save enough money working this summer! for now i am limited to as deep as my chest waders will get me and slow moving or still water.

Ended up not even trying for sturgeon... I know I would have not done any good. There was a huge tide swing yesterday, high 10.0 to low -1.0 and the bay was ebbing and flowing way too fast even for crabbing most of the time. Ended up getting 3 legal dungeness for my efforts. Not exactly a banner...
