    Prineville family trip

Prineville is an amazing bass fishery. Lots of bass in that lake. Have a boat? hit any main lake points with soft plastics. no boat... hit any structure you can find with soft plastics. easiest way to catch them out there. I have caught them just about everywhere on that lake.

Fishing Sandy with 10 lb mono; advise

Like Hobster said, mostly your spinner bite is a reaction bite. Line shouldnt be a problem, especially 10lb. I personally do use a 10lb fluro leader on my spinners, but I am also throwing braid on my gear. I just feel more confident with the fluro leader. (don't think it really matters)

How many of you use sonar fish finders?

some people use a fine point sharpy and write it on the bill, then use clear fingernail polish over it to make it stay. Otherwise once you use them enough you learnt he size of the bill is how deep it goes. Rapala has them written on them "DT6" is depth of 6ft DT16 is depth of 16

How many of you use sonar fish finders?

Todd nailed it. Most bodies of water will be low during the early fall. You can usually walk the banks and see exactly what you are fishing during the spring. Also if you are getting hung up on rocks and grass you probably are in the right area, just fishing the wrong lures. Just find out how...

    What's your bass fishing setup?

It depends what you are going to be fishing. Most of my rods are 30lb braid and I use a leader depending what I am throwing or how dirty the water is. Usually anywhere from 8 to 17lb fluro is my leader. If you are throwing lures that don't weigh to much then 10-12lb is great. I personally...

How many rods do you bring with you to the river?

You could always have the rods you need per spot. I know for instance the Wilson river... its a lot driving to each spot. And on each spot I know the water well enough I know which rods that I will use for that spot. If its a far walk I can see the concern.

The lake stop store has a flier saying that they are putting those in. I didn't find it on any website either.

Is Hagg open this time of year?

Open year round, also they are stocking it with 4000 +1lbers next Tuesday for the Thanksgiving free weekend fishing. Might get crowded but should produce some nice fish next week.

    Un-clipped trout @ Hagg

Hagg Lake has a healthy population of wild rainbows. Some get good size as well. I never keep any bows, so i don't know if that changes the regulation at all. I am pretty sure it is 5 rainbow trout. Meaning it does not matter which you keep.
