Hagg Lake wet, windy and fun!

The forecast was for a wet and windy morning, the forecast was very accurate. The lake was recently stocked with trout from Desert Springs Trout Farm. These trout looked great, very healthy. Below is what they stocked this week. We did not get any trophy trout, but were 100% satisfied with the ones we did catch. Very nice job Desert Springs Trout Farm, ODFW, and Hagg Lake management team!

Week of 2/12/2018:

Henry Hagg Lake - 18400 legal, 800 legal+, 400 trophy

Great to see someone got out and had some fun. Super pic and nice size of fish. What did you use . All top lining ?
Almost made it to Diamond before the storms hit but my fishing partner didn't call back (too much ranch work)
Will hit Cooper creek res. when things calm down and see what happens.
Keep up the reports a lot of us really enjoy them.

We began trying to troll, but the wind was very strong, could not control the boat. Gave up on that, and tried anchoring in a cove with Power Bait on the bottom. Had one hit, missed it, then moved to entrance to another cove, about 30' of water, anchored and used Power Bait, Yellow Corn. Got all 10 in just a couple of hours. The fish do look great! Nice color to meat, not white like normal hatchery trout. thank you for the comments! Good luck at Cooper Resevoir! Let us know how it goes.
